Welcome!
Hi and welcome to the home of Doctor Ocks Music - the alter ego of D/Rocks Music! Not that long ago, a good friend of mine traded one of his ukes in towards a Gibson tube amp we had in the store. I happened to be looking for a new instrument to plink around on so I decided to take the uke home with me - it's been down hill since then. I've not been this excited to learn and play an instrument in a long time. So naturally, as a guitar store owner, my next step was to start stocking ukes. Which leads us to this page.
So why make the uke sales an entirely different entity? Well, it's been such a radically different musical direction for me, I thought "why not have a page dedicated to it?" Besides, flea flickers tend to be an odd bunch, and I don't want them disturbing my guitar customers =P
So here we are.

Pictured above is the very first concert uke Mike DaSilva ever made. As you can imagine, it's simply amazing sounding and only gets better and better with age. This little guy does NOT disappoint! It belongs to my partner in crime, Mark "Spanky" G. This uke has been everywhere and it has the signatures to prove it! It's got the John Hancocks of Byron Yasui, Benny Chong, all four boys from The Boulder Acoustic Society, and of course Jake Shimabukuro!
